Lara Browne, Legal Counsel for Roper St. Francis Healthcare
Lara Browne is a defense attorney in Charleston, South Carolina. She received her undergraduate degree at the Pennsylvania State University, and her Juris Doctorate degree at the Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Since relocating to South Carolina in 2013, Lara has primarily practiced in the area of workers’ compensation defense. She spent several years working for a large defense firm, where she represented employers and carriers throughout the Lowcountry. Lara joined Roper St. Francis Healthcare in February of 2020, which encompasses more than 90 facilities and services in three counties. As Legal Counsel for Roper St. Francis Healthcare, Lara manages and oversees the entire workers’ compensation program, provides training and education on workplace safety and accident prevention, and handles legal defense on behalf of the organization. Lara lives in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, with her husband and 2-year-old twin boys.
Ron Chorzewski, CEO, Midlands Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery
With over 30 years of experience in the healthcare field, Ron Chorzewski has joined Midlands Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery as their new CEO. Starting his career as a Physical Therapist, Ron’s career evolved to include both rehabilitation and orthopedic administration. Trained as a PT at Quinnipiac College, Ron earned an MBA at Suffolk University in Boston. Ron recently moved from New Hampshire to South Carolina and excited to be part of the Midlands Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery Team.
David Stuckey, Jr, Senior VP, Claims & Risk Management for Antum Risk
David L. Stuckey, Jr., CPM, CPHRM, is the Senior VP, Claims & Risk Management for Antum Risk. David is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Claims and Risk Management on behalf of Antum Risk, PHT Workers’ Compensation Program, and the PHLIP Liability Program.
David has more than 20 years of experience in claims handling and litigation management. Prior to joining Antum Risk in 2013, he was the manager of the medical professional liability insurance unit of the South Carolina Insurance Reserve Fund and a medical professional liability representative with the South Carolina JUA, a commercial carrier. He also previously served in the United States Army, rising to the rank of Captain. David received a BS from The Citadel and is a licensed adjuster in Property, Casualty, Surety and Marine in SC.
